Lavadocs - Self Hosted Edition

Lavadocs is like a view-only Google docs, but for your markdown, pushed seamlessly from Obsidian. The hosted version at lavadocs.com is the easiest way to get started.

But if you want to host the application on hardware you control, this is the place to be!

The instructions included in the Readme assumes you have a basic understanding of self-hosting applications.

The Code

Lavadocs can be hosted anywhere that Ruby applications run.

Instructions for hosting on Fly.io are included in the project's Readme.

The code included here is a simpler version of the hosted version. It's easy to reason about and includes the core functionality of Lavadocs.

The Stack:

• SQLite
• TailwindCSS

It's simple enough to make it your own if you wish to! Know that by self-hosting the code, you're in charge of maintaining it too. If there are any major updates to the self-hosted edition, a new version of the zip file will get uploaded here.

This self-hosted edition is licensed for personal use. Make any changes you like! You just can't share or sell the code.
